Bringing people together to brighten neighborhoods.

Metro Paint-A-Thon is a program of Hearts & Hammers that helps income-eligible Senior Citizens, Disabled Adults, and Veterans of the United States Armed Forces or their Surviving Spouse so that they may continue living independently. Each summer, particularly the first weekend in August, teams of volunteers paint and repairs to the home's exterior in the seven metro county area for those who are not able to do the maintenance themselves and cannot afford to hire a contractor. This service, offered at no cost to the homeowner, restores not only the homes we paint but also the homeowner’s sense of pride in their property and community.
